Nara, Japan: An ancient city where deer and people live together
Nara, a historic city and World Heritage Site. Located about an hour and a half from Kansai International Airport (KIX) and less than an hour from Kyoto, it offers excellent accessibility. Students say that coming to Nara is very relaxing. After all, it’s a peaceful city where deer and people live in harmony. The school is just a 10-minute walk from Kintetsu Nara Station, major station in Nara city. School is located in a quiet residential area, it’s very peaceful. According to statistics, there are over 150 accommodations available. We look forward to welcoming you to this wonderful learning environment.

In early 2019, I faced serious health issues, but by adopting a macrobiotic vegan diet, I was able to completely resolve them. Thanks to Buddhism and the macrobiotic vegan diet, my life has turned a new page filled with love, gratitude, and happiness. With the aim of sharing this happiness with the community, I established Macrobiotics School Vietnam to promote the macrobiotic lifestyle. I am committed to advancing and developing macrobiotic education, sharing its benefits with the community, and working toward the realization of both individual health and the health of the planet.

I am Youle, the founder of Macrobiotic School China. My mom is a vegetarian for many years, due to the fate in 2013, I accompanied my mom to eat plant-based drinks for two months at home, because it made my body clean and light, and I couldn’t eat meat outside any more, so I naturally chose to live a plant-based life from then on. After so many years of living with plant-based diet, my body and inner being have changed a lot, and my mind and body have become sharper and calmer than before.

My family had a more Westernized diet compared to the average household. As I aged, I developed chronic conditions such as fatty liver disease and chronic fatigue syndrome, and tried medical treatments, but they were ineffective. Upon discovering Macrobiotics, I realized that my issues stemmed from years of poor dietary habits. By focusing on the balance of yin yang, eating locally sourced foods, and consuming whole grains, my health improved significantly. In 2025, I established Macrobiotics School Korea with the goal of spreading awareness about macrobiotics to a wider audience.

MSJ offers a educational activities in Japanese. Therefore, nationality is not a factor. Together with our Main teacher Patricio and other local instructors in Japan, we offer the Global Macrobiotics Program and a curriculum rooted in Japanese traditions.
